The goal of the program is to support research to advance the understanding of comparative and functional genomics.

Residencies to USA artists to create artistic work in a studio belonging to the funding source in Pennsylvania. In addition to receiving a cash stipend, applicants will benefit from access to a fully equipped studio, work space, and housing for the duration of the residency. Participating residents are artists age 18 and up who work in small metals, jewelry, fibers, weaving, papermaking, book arts, and/or small-scale woodworking. Eligible artists are non-Pittsburgh residents living outside of a 100 mile radius of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for research on the ethical, legal, and social implications of human genetic research.

Funding is intended for research studying the ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) of human genetic or genomic research.

Awards to USA public school music teachers to recognize exceptional teaching and student learning. The award is intended to support teachers who raise awareness of music education causes while making a positive influence on their community and school. Teachers must have at least 4 years of experience.

Grants to USA young adults for assistance to mitigate the negative financial impacts of their cancer experiences. Funding is intended for housing expenses, car payments, education expenses, and dental and cosmetic treatments needed as a result of previous cancer treatments.

Grants of up to $5,000 and grants of up to $10,000 to Ohio teams of educators to improve academic achievement in K-12 classrooms in eligible locations. Funding is intended for activities and projects that promote student preparedness for college and career, provide professional development for educators, and help students and teachers meet or exceed the academic standards of the school, district, or state. The program supports projects in Summit County.

Grant to a USA librarian for travel expenses to attend a professional development conference. Funding is intended to assist qualifying librarians with obtaining the professional development, networking, and education needed that will enable them to best serve their local communities through interlibrary loans, document delivery, resource sharing, and/or electronic reserves. The grantee will be assigned a mentor to help them navigate through the conference experience.

Award of $1,500 to a USA, Canada, or international library or library system for the creation of a new reference tool to benefit patrons. The purpose of the award is to recognize the achievement of providing patrons with a unique and creative resource. Eligible resources include a database, directory, bibliography, guide to the literature of a specific subject, or any other project that has helped the library meet adult or children’s reference needs. Tools, guides, or databases that have been developed for reader’s advisory or adult service questions and needs are also eligible for the award.

Opportunity for USA and Puerto Rico businesses to participate in a business accelerator program to foster the growth of their business. Successful applicants will have access to a 12-week virtual accelerator program with webinars, expert speakers, educational guides, mentorship and expert guidance, networking, and live question-and-answer sessions focused on business management and growth.

Grants to USA curators or curatorial teams for thematic contemporary art exhibitions. Eligible applicants are those in partnership with an established nonprofit exhibition space, such as a traditional museum or gallery, or an alternative nonprofit venue. Funding is intended to provide support for exhibitions at the beginning stage of their development and to offer the curator the support needed to fully explore a concept and realize an exhibition.

Grant of up to $3,000 to a USA, Canada, or International early-career psychologist affiliated with a nonprofit institution or government agency for trauma-related research projects. Funding is intended to support innovative studies that aim to relieve trauma. Proposals will be evaluated on originality, innovation, potential impact, and contribution to the field of trauma.

Grants of up to $10,000 to Ohio community-based nonprofit organizations, government entities, and academic institutions in eligible locations for projects that benefit individuals with disabilities. Funding is intended to support organizations that directly assist people with disabilities. Preference is given to organizations serving people in Southwest Ohio.

Grants of $50,000 to USA and territories nonprofit organizations to improve public safety and promote justice in criminalized and under-resourced communities. Funding is intended for proposals that shift power away from the police and increase law enforcement accountability and transparency.

Grants and in-kind support to USA business owners with diverse backgrounds to support the opening of businesses in eligible locations. Successful applicants will participate in a four-week retail workshop and have access to networking resources and opportunities, individual business guidance and planning, and support related to funding and leases. The purpose of the program is to bring more diversity to shopping centers and help support equity within the industry. Eligible businesses are located within designated commercial centers in specified locations.

Award of $5,000 to a USA, Canada, or International individual to recognize outstanding contributions to the field of reference librarianship. Eligible contributions may involve writing or publishing books or articles about the reference field; teaching activities that are creative and inspirational; a constructive and imaginative program in a library; active participation in professional associations devoted to reference services; or leadership in other noteworthy professional activities.

Residencies to USA, Canada, and International artists, writers, and performance artists to create new artwork. This program is open to artists working in any medium. Residents will receive a $5,000 stipend and housing as well as the opportunity to be inspired by the beauty, science, history, and heritage of the Haleakalā National Park in Maui, Hawaii.
